Looking for reasons to NOT vote for AAP, here are 20 that you will love!

Kejriwal's voter ID cards, Kejriwal betrayed Anna, AAP plays communal politics, AAP is corrupt etc etc. If these issues concern you more than the development of the nation, then you are on the right track! Let's defame AAP, let's throw muck at them, lets tear their so-called anti-corruption pro-development stand. We will all unite, carry out stings, throw ink and make sure they lose! Let's keep India the way it is, and here are some of the ways to easily achieve it! ;)

1) They will implement 'Swaraj' and give me the power to decide what needs to be done in my city. Please no, I'd rather have potholes on roads, pavements without street lights, houses without water, parks without maintenance. I will let my MLA use the funds to buy a new Audi for his kid. Accountability my ass! I'm an Indian and I don't care.

2) They will pass a legislation to punish the corrupt. Who needs it anyway, these guys are just way too ambitious. There is nothing such as 'corruption-free', the European, Arabic countries are just an illusion. That's what the BJP and Congress have told us, and I'm a bhakt and chela, so get lost, I'm happy. (Are you?)

3) 700L Free water? How is it possible? AAP is fooling us! Well this data comes the RTIs filed by Kejriwal that Delhi has water, but the distribution model has been changed to support the Tanker Mafia. Isn't it really strange that even though Delhi doesn't have water in pipelines, nobody has ever died of thirst thanks to the blue colored 'saviors' called water tankers with Sonia Gandhi's name on them.

Or maybe these water tanks have found a unique way of combining Hydrogen and Oxygen to generate water, only for Delhi!

4) They want government schools to be as good as private schools. Why do I care, my parents can afford private schools! I'm selfish, I don't think about people who send their kids to government schools.

5) Again, they want government hospitals to be better than Private hospitals. Why can't they just stop talking about things that concern an ordinary citizen! Talk about Arvind Kejriwal's voter ID cards, now that is something interesting!

6) They want to stop payments of contractors if they deviate from the contract. Oh, does that mean we will have flyovers, roads, hospitals etc all completed within the time limit with high quality? No! I like waiting for decades, what's the hurry? Leave it, but do you know Arvind has 2 voter ID cards!! What a cheater!

7)  They will slash the electricity prices. Now even the BJP thinks so, so I'm sure the BJP supporters will be satisfied with this point, no comments! :D

8) They have a different manifesto for every constituency. Well, I'm ignorant, I will rather crib about my constituency than participating in the change. Or maybe I will support some other party which has copied these manifesto's, because that party is really dumb, just like me.

9) The other party that looks like an orange flower says AAP is the B-team of Congress, and Congress says it is the B-team of BJP. But, then how have both these parties teamed up together against the RTI bill, against the Jan Lokpal, never investigated each other's scams etc etc. And well, they teamed up against AAP too!

10) They are socialist, communists etc etc. Most people don't even understand the meaning and use these words. Maybe this is why they created a panel of economists to prepare a blueprint for India's economic plans. Maybe this is why they want to support entrepreneurs and encourage new businesses.

11)  They want to have CCTV cameras in police stations so that police cops don't refuse to register FIRs. Oh god, how will the police officials take bribes now! I'm feeling sad already for them. These are simple steps that ANY government could have taken up.

12) They are not ready to provide caste based reservations! The BJP provided reservations to Gujjars in their Rajasthan Manifesto! How can AAP not divide the country?! I will not vote for AAP, I will vote for BJP, because Mr. Modi will do something in Delhi, but what that is, nobody knows!

And even if Harshvardhan knows(which i really doubt), I'm sure he will have to take permission from his Madamji Shiela Dikshit to speak up.

13) Their manifesto means 'big initiatives, big spending'. Well, when the systems will fall into place, revenue will be generated correctly, and more importantly utilized efficiently, then can we not get the money for all this?
If a party can fight election with a budget of 20crores, doesn't it put us at a risk of having excessive money for the city by using it properly?

Oh, who cares! Do you know Mr. Kumar Vishwas travels in Business class and pays taxes, what a shameless guy! The other party leaders travel in personal helicopters and do not pay taxes. That's the way to be a politician, learn something Mr. Vishwas!

14) They are hungry for power. Yes, that is why Mr. Kejriwal used to do street plays in 'bastis' in 2002, because he was hungry for power. Mr. Yogendra Yadav, Kumar Vishwas, Sanjay Singh are not fighting elections because they are hungry for power. They have refused bungalows, cars, perks, because they are hungry for power.

Oh, did i mention that a candidate in the sting said it is not about power, 'it is about serving the nation like Bhagat Singh'.

15) They are communal! They met someone to get votes. Really? More than gaining votes, they have lost votes! What kind of communalism is this? Yes, they faltered, and Mr. Yogendra Yadav has always accepted that they are not so politically mature, and they have made mistakes almost every day. It takes courage to say this on national media.

They decide to field muslim candidates from Hindu Majority seats, and their Muslim candidate caught in the sting operation, when contacted by his 'muslim' bhai warning him about the sting, tells him to forget the religion and release the video in the raw form.

And by the way, very few people know that Mr. Gopal Rai, a very important member of AAP, was shot by some lunatics because he wanted to fight communalism after the BJP decided ki 'Mandir wahin Banayenge'.

16) They are arrogant. Yes, it is time to be arrogant because we have been treated like dirt by the super arrogant politicians. Remember when Delhi was out to protest for Nirbhaya's case, they greeted us with water canons and lathis. Unless we learn to be arrogant against them, they will always crush us.

If you are still not arrogant, then you deserve this treatment.

17) They have 5 candidates with criminal charges. Yes, because they protested in front of Shiela's house. Because they have been forcefully removed from dharna's and their protests crushed. Section 144 imposed without any reason at the site of protest. I'm proud of these 'criminal' cases, maybe these 5 will stop the rapists, kidnappers and extortionists from entering the parliament.

Rs. 50 destruction of public property case on Mr. Gopal Rai. Please government, take Rs. 5000 from me, but do not stoop down to this level.

At the same time, 31 criminal cases for BJP. Ye hui na baat, dekha Rahul Kanwal was right, pehle hi jeet gayi BJP!

18) They get foreign funding. But I'm an illiterate so I won't go to their website and see the donations, because I don't like political parties who are so truthful.
Yes they do get 'foreig funding', they get it from NRIs- NRIs are Indians. Even I donated money, my friends donated. I'm proud to see my name on their website.

Oh, do you know that after reaching 20 crores, they stopped taking donations? Has your party (if you're not an AAP supporter) ever done this?

19) Their candidates will be corrupt. Yes, that is why some of the candidates did not even talk to the reporter (who was genuinely pretending to have been thugged in a deal).

Some say that even AAP did not upload the full sting video.I will ask the same question to Mr. Jha- If he
is so confident, then why doesn't he upload the entire video and justify why the the videos were so heavily doctored and the transcripts manipulated.

20) Anna's video in which he 'thought' Kejriwal is getting money from unknown sources. Well, how many times has the old man explained that he trusts Arvind, but sadly news channels have the tendency to delete those interviews. Even after the video, Anna came out in full support of Arvind.

Even if now you feel that trivial issues are more important than national interests, you could be slightly mistaken. We all know Congress has ruined us, and BJP is no less. What you call a pro-development party has carried out huge scams in other states, Karnataka being the best example where the illegal mining scam led to huge losses.
So when you go to vote, don't just think of what has happened during the last 1 month, but analyze whether your political party was genuinely interested in improving the lives of the people. If the answer is yes, go ahead and vote for it, but if the answer is no, then vote for the common people who have accepted the challenge to rise against an ocean of corruption, because if they lose now, we may not get another hope anytime soon.

Shiela Aunty, please ab bas karo!

15 years, that's a really long time. I was in the 3rd standard when Shiela Dikshit took over Delhi and since then, she has been the face of Delhi for me. So what can one do in 15 years? According to Mrs. Shiela, elections are won in the last 15 days (as we can see how the political parties have united against AAP). So if 15 days is what the public memory is all about, then who cares about the 15 years? But, now it is time to dig into the so called achievements of Mrs. Shiela Dikshit who thinks that the Aam Aadmi is a fool and can be taken for granted.

1) During the last 15 years, the government has managed to open somewhere close to 15-20 hospitals with an average bed capacity of 100-200 beds. The international standard states the availability of 1 bed per 1000 citizens. Sadly, and it really is very sad, the ratio in Delhi is not even 1 bed to 15000.

2) To fill the void, private hospitals were opened. But really, how many in Delhi can afford a consultation fee of 300-500 per visit to a small clinic? In short, no check on private hospitals.

3) Dengue, Dengue everywhere, but where are you Mrs. Shiela Dikshit? Hiding inside your house and blaming MCD? Do you have commission from mosquito repellent companies as well?

4) Can you please explain why your own party members never go to government hospitals? Is the Aam-Aadmi untouchable or do you not trust your doctors? Or are the hospitals way too unhygienic?

5) Your every manifesto since 1998 promises full statehood for Delhi. The Congress is in power at the center, are you waiting for the BJP to win the Lok Sabha elections to ask for Delhi's statehood? I don't care whether Delhi is a state or not, but I want you to shut up and stop giving the same excuse whenever something goes wrong in Delhi.

6) You gave Delhi a chance to establish itself as an International city by hosting the CWG Games. I was a volunteer, but more more importantly, I was an ashamed Indian. Should we, the citizens of Delhi, forgive you so soon for embarrassing us Internationally?

7) So the stadiums were not under you, that's alright. But the stadiums were in Delhi, the games were in Delhi, the falling bridges were in Delhi, the war-ravaged under-construction city at the time of Commonwealth Games WAS DELHI. Didn't you ever feel ashamed of yourself for this blunder?

8) The budget for CWG Games was 70000 crores and which is equal to Delhi's Health and Education budget for the last 8-10 years. While bidding for the games, did you take these facts into account or were you so dumb that you thought that 0 does not have any value and the cost of the games was Rs. 7?

I can write indefinitely on the CWG Games, but lets move on now.

9) There are 923 government schools in Delhi for a population of 16 million. The schools are already doing double shifts. Are you planning to to have night shifts as well in schools since your statement says that you can not 'provide space for schools'?

10) The major migration and expansion of Delhi has been during the last 15 years. "No space for schools and hospitals", does it not clearly show how pathetic your planning has been for Delhi?

11) The annual session in schools begins in March, but the students do not get books and uniforms till July. Your department says that the books have not been 'printed'. The same books are 'bought' by private school students in March itself. Can you explain how this happens? Would you send your grandchildren to school without books?
Or, would you EVER send your grandchildren to any government school? Forget studying, can they spend even a single day in a government school?

12) Your budget distribution says 6600 crores were spent on education in 923 schools. Unfortunately, I do not have the time for RTI queries, because I can see a lot of anomalies in these stats.

13) While there are billions of development failures to point out, can you explain why the heart of the city, Connaught Place, has missed it's reconstruction deadline by 4 years? I remember how during the CWG Games the cranes and incomplete construction were covered with curtains. Please do not say it's because the NDMC is not under you.

14) During the last 15 years, only 2-3 medical colleges have been opened in Delhi. Wow, that really is an achievement because anyway we do not have hospitals to provide them with jobs!

15) You say that Delhi does not have enough water. How do you know that because the DJB does not even have any proper meters to measure the inflow of water in Delhi. Also, nobody has ever died of thirst in Delhi thanks to your 'Tanker Mafia'. A very big thank you for saving Delhiites!

16) If you can not provide water in Delhi in 2013, what will happen 5 years from now? I've already decided to pack my bags Mrs. Shiela!

17) The most painful of all is the way you have handled security. Nirbhaya is the prime example of your misrule and your blatant casualness. If the CM, being a woman, says she is helpless, then could you please get lost from Delhi?

18) In 15 years, you have regularized thousands of colonies. But maam, why did you let these colonies to get established? Wasn't it your duty to develop Delhi in a planned manner and provide proper housing to all these people who were forced to buy property in such areas? Because of your policy failures, it is the common man who always suffers.

And, then you use this for gaining votes. Good.

19) You've spent unaccountable crores on cleaning the Yamuna. My question is, did you clean Yamuna, or did you clean away the money meant for Yamuna? The nallah near my house smells better than your clean Yamuna.
I'm not a Narendra Modi fan, but here, we need to learn from the Sabarmati Riverfront in Gujarat.

Do you need another 15 years?

Could Delhi have become the next Shanghai, or are is that expecting too much? But whatever be your work during these 15 years, it really is below par. The present rate of development (and we are not talking about GDP here) will only place Delhi as an international city in the next century. You seem immortal, but i can not wait so much.

My vote goes to BJP!

The BJP is the biggest challenger to AAP in these elections, or at least they are the only ones eating into AAP's vote share. Their CM candidate seems to be honest and it really is a good move after all the infighting.
To start with, when a child cheats in school he or she is usually rapped on the knuckles by the teacher for following the wrong path. Though the child is only trying to bring herself at par with others, the world sees it as a dishonest attempt. Something similar seems to be happening to the BJP. So let's look at why one should vote for the BJP:

1) They have promised 71 manifestos, just like AAP. Wow, that is innovative from a party that was formed 33 years ago! I won't be surprised if tomorrow someone throws black paint on AAP members because 'AAP used this idea before BJP'.

2) Mr. Modi discovered the 'Tanker Mafia' in Delhi! Wow again, but where was this tanker mafia for the last 15 years? I'm surprised that even the future PM candidate follows AAP on youtube!

3) The BJP will reduce electricity prices. Oh really? Why did they let Shiela increase the prices if they were so concerned? Or were they given a share by BSES for keeping quite?

4) A task-force will be created for the safety of women. Yawn, yet another point taken from someone's manifesto.

5) Strong Lokayukta will be appointed in Delhi. This one is the funniest. Because Mr. Modi killed the same Lokayukta in his state just 1 month ago. So is Delhi BJP going to stand against Mr. Modi's wishes? And well, why didn't they support Mr. Anna when he demanded the same?

6) VAT will be simplified. This one is very strange because most of the BJP states have not even implemented VAT! I'm afraid they might have to go to Mr. Kejriwal and ask how this has to be done, after all he is the ex-Joint Commissioner of the IT department!

7) Complete e-governance for Delhi. NOOO Mr. Harshvardhan, please do NOT do that. Your MCD spent 12 crores for a shitty website that engineering students are supposed to complete for their second year assignment. 8 years for this website? Please, we do not want another website!

8) Schools will be improved. Do you not feel ashamed while saying this Mr. Harshvardhan? There are 1792 MCD schools in Delhi. Since the MCD is ruled by the BJP, shouldn't you first improve the standard of these schools before fooling the public? For how long will you misguide the people who are 'forced' to send their kids to such havens of corruption?

9) You talk about improving the sewer system in Delhi. Well, this again is MCD's responsibility!

10) Justice for 1984 riot victims?! Whom are you trying to fool?! The BJP has been in power for atleast 5 years at the center as well as in Delhi with an overlapping period of 2-3 years. Why wasn't justice provided  at that time?! Shouldn't the BJP be ashamed of itself for making such claims?!

11) "85% seats in Delhi colleges shall be reserved for the students of Delhi". Please do not ruin the Delhi University by enforcing such rules. DU is known for it's diversity and an extremely high level of intellectualism. Do NOT ruin it.

12) Mr. Harshvardhan will not probe any corruption charges against Shiela Dikshit. Well, why would they! They are friends after all. And then BJP says they will reduce corruption.

13) When Delhi was humiliated during the CWG, the BJP vanished from everywhere! Had they really been concerned about Delhi and India's reputation, they would have played a constructive role during the CWG games. But probably again they had some 'cut' in the deals.

14) The BJP feels that the only solution AAP has for all the problems is the 'Jan-Lokpal'. But looking at their manifesto, it is quite clear that the BJP is good at least one thing- copy pasting from AAP's manifesto.

15) The members of BJP screamed and shouted when there was one 'doubtful' candidate in AAP. What they did not see is that they have 31 candidates with criminal charges! While AAP has 5 such candidates, they are only the ones who were caught for organizing agitations against the government.

16) What the BJP is really interested in is Arvind Kejriwal and his voter ID cards. Well, they do not read the newspaper it seems!
http://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/Delhi/kejriwal-becomes-a-delhiite-to-take-on-sheila/article4799475.ece

17) They assume that since Anna is not with AAP, he is with them. Dear backstabbers, you were the ones who really backstabed Anna, not Arvind. BJP uses Anna's name more often than Arvind does, and as Yogender Yadav says, I wish the same concern was shown by the BJP during Anna's andolan.

18) When Rahul Gandhi stands to talk, he becomes a Shehzada because he is an outcome of dynasty politics. But what about the sons of your leaders who have been given tickets?

19) If BJP is really so committed towards development, then why aren't the constituencies owned by BJP MLA's different from the ones under the Congress. Both are equally bad. Then where is the difference?Every MLA is granted some funds, then what is the excuse?

20) If Kumar Vishwas of AAP is questioned for travelling in the Business class, then can you please explain why your PM candidate travels in a private helicopter?

21) If Mr. Harshvardhan really is a good CM candidate and a good leader, then why has he been quite for 15 years? I doubt if he has done anything other than the polio campaign. As AAP rightly said, he is the Manmohan Singh of BJP. Well qualified in his field, but toothless and powerless once he is chosen. Does he consider Mrs. Shiela Dikshit as his 'madamji'?

22) If you could not bring the MCD to an international level, then how can we trust you to bring Delhi to the level of an international city?

23) Your plan to bring transparency seems a bit too ambitious. Your own ruled MCD could not trace "ghost" employees.

The only point to cheer about in BJP's manifesto is the "Health Plan". This is one area where they have done better than AAP and it really was expected from a person who has won international accolades in the Medical field.

24) But even there, the BJP fails miserably because despite having full control over the MCD, they have never been able to curb the spread of Dengue in Delhi.

25) The BJP will provide insurance to every Delhiiite at a minimal cost. But before that, please provide it to the school kids who are forced to eat the mid-day meal in the MCD schools because they are the most innocent victims of your corruption. You talk about hygiene, but where is it in MCD schools?

Though the list of questions is never ending, I'm sure that the BJP can do a better copy paste job. If Mr. Vijay Goel can go for morning walks like Kejriwal, then how can Mr. Harshvardhan stay behind! The only hope that BJP is banking upon is Mr. Modi's popularity, but sadly Mr. Modi is NOT the CM candidate for Delhi, and only the ones who failed in their Civics exam in class 6 will vote for BJP thinking that Modi will bring an end to Delhi's problems by becoming the CM. For now, lets hope BJP dissolves with its B-team Congress so that AAP can form the government without any problems, because, we really don't want any party to cut the vote share of AAP.

After all, BJP and Congress are one team. ;)

To CongBJPress- With Love- Thanking you- From an AAP supporter

"Elections are won in the last 15 days"- Shiela Dikshit.

2 months back, these lines by Shiela Dikshit in an interview to "The Hindu" seemed like a statement by an amateur politician, completely ignoring the mood of a city being swept by a newly formed party. But with 15 days left for the elections, one can easily recognize that Shiela Dikshit's words had a much deeper meaning- "Last 15 days, we'll defame, embarrass, humiliate anyone who tries to rise against us, because, public memory is SHORT!". But Madamji, it's 15 days vs 65 years now. You'd be happy (read sad) to know that we, the ignored Indian lower, middle and upper class, have learned to spot wolves dressed in a sheep's skin. Let's have a look at some of your blunders CongBJPress!

1) The scary Sting Operation which shook even my faith!

The media house owned by the son of a Congress MLA from Haryana, also the brother of Jessica Lal's murder accused Manu Sharma conducts a sting operation in collaboration with Deepak ChorAsiya and Mr. Anuranjan, and the Congress and BJP start celebrating. Wow! But wait, what the CBI would've taken 15 years to reveal, the Aam Aadmi Party exposed in less than 48 hours! Looking at the quality of the sting operation, I feel sorry for the person who invested in your cameras and editing. Your illiterate so-called reporter tries his best to get something out from the candidates, but fails miserably. No one accepts cash, no one asks him to come back for a 'talk', no one accepts his 'support', and some don't even talk to him! Had I been him, I would've died of being ignored so horrendously. But now, I can surely die laughing at the insane stupidity of the sting and the editing! :D

Some people, even after the Press Conference, had the audacity to say "Why aren't they uploading the entire video, they are hiding something!". Oh really? So you mean to say that Mr. Jha's editing skills were so bad that he managed to miss Shazia Ilmi accepting money, or Kumar Vishwas talking about taxes? And now if AAP uploads the video, everyone will spot it? If this is how people have started thinking, I think that the Election Comission should keep a psychometric test to eliminate such voters as they are a threat to the nation.

Even if AAP uploads the 15 hour footage, will these people even care to go through the video when they refused to watch an hour-long press conference?

Also, if there is really anything left in the video, then why didn't MediaSarkar upload the full video if it was so confident of it's expose? They could have easily shown the real video to everyone if there was ANYTHING AT ALL.

Others said, that even Kapil Sibal gave everyone a clean chit to Raja after the 2G scam! Well, this really does invoke some thought. But it also shows how these people enjoyed the fake sting, but when the complete videos of the sting were played, they refused to accept that the drama they had enjoyed 2 days back was all.. an illusion!

The ones who were saying that "the camera does not lie", were suddenly reduced to tears by the same camera. It was a bitter pill to swallow, the much awaited debacle of AAP had been postponed indefinitely and the cynics, without looking at the proofs lying in front of them, decided to call the 'clean chit' as self-proclaimed. Wow! AAP goes to the Election Commission to make sure it investigates its candidates so that it can punish them, and even then AAP is a party without morals? I really feel that there should be an IQ test before people can vote so that they do not question a person who talks about 'Black Money, Cash donations' sitting in a public place like Nirula's!

And then came the Elections Commission's clean chit as well. Now please call the Election Commission the B-Team of AAP, which is the B-team of Congress and BJP. Lets include everyone and call them a B-team, and so even Obama's party is the B-Team of the Indian Election Commission, which is the B-Team of Samajwadi Party!

Even in the footage, leave aside being corrupt, the candidates exhibited amazing honesty. In fact, I felt sorry for the reporter when he called up his boss to ask whether the camera has enough backup to record the immovable candidate who had refused to meet him for more than an hour. Poor guy, I don't know if he was even given his day's salary after this failure.

My question is, till when will the CongBJPres supporters try to defame AAP rather than focusing on the welfare of the country? Is AAP throwing muck at AAP really that important?
What if the same media had been used for showing some high quality debates on development? What if the same media had invited panelists from other countries to present solutions to problems that have been already solved?

But sadly, Mr. Arnab Goswami, also known as 'The Nation', is more interested in debates in which he can shout, scream and humiliate people. Mr. Goswami, be a man and apologize to Shazia Ilmi, because if you don't you really are no better than Mr. CHORasiya.

If the same parties had in fact invested the these resources (I'm not talking about people like Mr. Jha) in finding out-of-the-box solutions for the country, we could have seen some amazing manifestos and ideas.

And by ideas, we mean 'original', not copied from AAP's speeches, just like Mr. Future PM has been doing by referring to the 'Tanker Madia' in Delhi, and what Mr.Vijay Goel had done when he was in his dream world.

PS: If Kumar Vishwas travels in the Business Class, and lives in 5 star hotels, it is something that he has earned for himself. It is his talent that gets him these benefits, not 'black money' nor any 'tax payers' money. If he is being pointed out, then the next time you see anyone travelling by a plane, make sure you carry out a sting operation and sell it to India News, because you never know, what could become sensational these days.

The much needed blunder

Just when everything seemed to be going fine, bang came the news of AAP seeking support of a Muslim cleric, Taqeer Raza Khan, well known for inciting violence in a state which has become quite infamous for such incidents. Being a die-hard AAP supporter, I was very disappointed to see AAP indulging in vote bank politics, something that they have always tried to stay away from.

To understand who Taqeer Raza Khan is and it's association with AAP please go through the following links:
http://khabar.ndtv.com/video/show/badi-khabar/297010

So a party that is going to contest it's first ever elections goes to a Muslim leader who is seen as a threat to India's integrity. Yes, there are muslims in Delhi, somewhere around 14-18%. The rest of the population comprises mainly of Hindus and Sikhs which form almost 80% of the total electoral population (Source: Muslim population distribution).
From the public outrage that has followed after the meeting, it seems clear that any political party, that too a new one, would never intentionally lose 80% votes to get 18% votes! Why on earth would a person appease muslims in a state(UT) where they form only 1/6th of the population?! Defies all logic. The ones who are crying over this should be intelligent enough to understand this class 4 mathematics problem.

But no, it is not the number-game right now. It is a lot more serious. They have moved from secularism to communalism! Seems so. But if this is communalism (allegiance to one's own ethnic group rather than to the wider society), then they should focus only on Muslims to get votes. But they don't seem to be doing that either. They have equally focused on Sikhs, Hindus and Muslims. So if Hindus are getting insecure because AAP is focusing on Muslims and Sikhs, don't you think that Muslims feel the same when a party propagates Hindutva and it's leader calls himself a 'Hindu Nationalist'? (A statement that has been criticized even by the high court) We are ready to kill but not ready to accept an equal society. Equality based on religion is still a myth and while AAP has been trying to support all religions by providing them equal representation, all the good initiatives are being over-shadowed by a single mistake.

Being an Indian, it is not usual for me to see a political party giving an official statement quite opposite from what you expect. Since this was an extremely tricky issue, I was expecting that AAP would dodge the issue and defend it's association with Taqeer Khan in an attempt to retain the muslim votes and at the same time pacify the Hindus. But surprisingly, they decided to kick the controversy by totally distancing itself from Taqeer and reiterating the fact that they are not here to play vote bank politics. Had it really wanted to focus on muslim votes, it should have ideally chosen the middle path similar to what the Congress does, but instead it has clarified its stand completely. Is this really vote bank politics?

Amidst all this furore, how many of us know that AAP has challenged the conventional system of giving tickets based on religious majority in a constituency. Shazia Ilmi has been chosen to fight from a constituency that has more a Hindu majority population. How often have we seen Congress and BJP doing the same?

If you read blogs regularly, specially the ones written against Kejriwal, you will find that even earlier there have been allegations of Kejriwal convincing Imam Bukhari (another person whose speeches have been considered inflammatory). But there has not been a single proof of Kejriwal getting his support, or convincing him to join AAP. If public sightings are seen as proof, then do remember that Kejriwal meets sikh and Hindu leaders as well. Does that mean he is propagating Hindutva as well? If he speaks against violence in UP and Gujarat, then he does the same for 1984 sikh riots as well. How many times has congress or BJP cared to investigate the 1984 massacre? Both of them have been in power for more than 5 years since 1984. This is called vote bank politics when you choose the middle path, neither prove guilty, nor innocent.

Yes, Kejriwal did seek support from muslims who are very intellectual and renowned. AAP itself released a statement declaring how it has gained support from the educated muslims and not the 'religious' factions of the society. (Press release )

Kejriwal seemed clueless in an interview shown on TV and said that he did not know about this person. Any good politician would've decided to stay away from the media after committing this mistake, but since Kejriwal is new to politics, he decided to come on TV, be interviewed and admit his mistake. Whether he was lying about not knowing Taqeer Raza Khan will remain a mystery, but the leader himself came out to admit his mistake. That is how an aam-aadmi would behave.

On one side we have the Congress, which wanted to wipe out the Sikhs, and always played its pseudo-secular card before elections to show how muslim friendly they are. On the other side we have the BJP which has suddenly started showing it's secular side after realizing that wooing only Hindus will not get them to power in India and so they will have to focus on muslims as well. More than being communal, both the parties are anti-India. How much time does it take to send those who speak against India to jail? Or hang the culprits of a riot? If Taqeer Raza is so dangerous, then why didn't the BJP and Congress ban his organization? Why weren't the charges against him proven in court?! They themselves are playing vote bank politics! Both the parties have had enough chances to show 'Indianism', but sadly none did. And now when a party is trying to put India as its main agenda, these parties just can not digest it, and so every issue is being blown out of proportion.

Infact, Kumar Vishwas was shown insulting Lord Shiva in some videos by a BJP-wing called Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena. The videos were cut to form 30 second long clips so that they appear to be insulting Hinduism. Sadly, what they did not know is that Kumar Vishwas had only repeated a joke that had been telecast on DD National by the all so famous Surendra Sharma. A hindu poet being shown as anti-Hindu by the BJP. What nonsense is this party into!

We have seen the world from the 'majority' point of view. Would I, being in the majority, choose a party that has in the past opposed my religion? Never. And that is why the world from the 'minority' point of view does not seem to be pretty. Would i choose a party that has its roots in RSS and openly justifies it's anti-minority stand? Never.

The members refused to come on TV to answer these questions. You might say it is wrong, but how many times will they clarify the same issue, that too when the official statement has already been released. They can enter debates and be humiliated and called 'sleazeballs' by people like Subramaniam Swamy, but is this the dirty politics that you expect them to jump into? Justifying their statement, appeasing muslims and hindus on TV, that is not AAP. Where were these people when Arvind invited them for an open debate?
Update: Kumar Vishwas, Sanjay Singh were seen on TV just one day after the incident, so these only proves that they are not running away from any issue. Faith in AAP reinstated, yet again!

So it was being assumed that AAP will not commit such mistakes.  Not only has this blunder waken them up, it has also made them realize that people will not follow AAP blindly. Every move, every step, every decision will be questioned and challenged by its supporters and haters and it can not get away with such mistakes. They will have to justify themselves in front of the people whom they are going to represent, and that according to Arvind Kejriwal is true democracy, when people get to particpate in decision-making, be it only a small political party. Being politically correct all the time is an ideal scenario and such mistakes are bound to happen. But what is important is that they correct these mistakes and show the same transparency as before.

They needed this blunder to reinstate their ideology, to realize that the people can not be taken for granted and that they can not appease any communal force just to get votes, because for every such vote they will get, they will lose 10 more. Now is their real test and they have to come back strongly.

Being an AAP supporter, I am ready to give them another chance before my faith from the political system ends. Religion is not what AAP has to focus on. They are doing brilliantly well and such issues should not divert us from the real goal, which is to serve humanity irrespective of religious boundaries. I hope they will always stick to their ideology, I hope you will give them another chance.
